    MOSCOW, February 19, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref goes to Finland on a routine visit on Thursday, the ministry's press service said.

    On Friday, February 20, German Gref, a co-chairman of the Russian-Finnish intergovernmental commission, will meet his counterpart, Finnish Minister of Foreign Trade and development Paula Lehtomaki.

    "The meeting will focus on vital issues of Russian-Finnish trade and economic and investment cooperation, in particular, in forest, transport and customs spheres. In addition, they will consider Russia's joining the WTO and Russian-Finnish cooperation within the EU," the press service reported.

    On Friday the Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister will also meet with Finnish President Tarja Halonen and heads of major Finnish companies.

    After that, German Gref will return to Moscow.
