MOSCOW, February 19. (RIA Novosti correspondent). The prosecutor's office of the Moscow region is looking into several accounts of a gas line accident in the Ramenskoye district. On Wednesday, two explosive devices equivalent to 200g of TNT each exploded under a 200mm gas line.

According to the district authorities, the damage to the gas line has resulted in 200 houses in three villages being without gas.

In another part of the gas line, police discovered and defused a third explosive device with a timer.

A prosecutor's office spokesman said, "it is too early," to speak about the accounts of the accident the office is working on.

"We are not sure about the explosion yet. There is damage to equipment in two parts of the gas line," said the spokesman. The district prosecutors have launched a criminal inquiry into the deliberate destruction of or damage to equipment.
