RUSSIAN VICE PREMIERE LEAVES FOR MINSK

MOSCOW, February 19, 2004. //RIA Novosti correspondent/ - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Khristenko on Thursday afternoon will leave for Minsk, his press secretary Stanislav Naumov told journalists.

His visit will be devoted to the gas dispute between Russia and Belarus, RIA Novosti learned from its sources in the authorities.

According to the official version, voiced by Naumov, "the Vice Premiere's visit is devoted to participation in the session of the high-level group that will discuss creation of a single economic space".

"It is a planned trip, the date of which was scheduled in January," Naumov emphasized.
