GAS PIPELINE BLOWN UP IN MOSCOW REGION

MOSCOW, February 19 (RIA Novosti) - A gas pipeline was exploded in the Moscow region's Ramenki district, the Moscow region's main department of interior affairs said.

"On Tuesday, February 18, 50 meters from the Starnikovo village of the Moscow region's Ramenki district, on the banks of the Otra river, two explosive devices equivalent in power to 200 grams of TNT exploded under a 200mm-pipeline of the local gas main," said a department official.

In his words, as a result of the explosions, the gas pipeline was damaged; and gas supply temporarily terminated.

The region's prosecutor's office initiated a criminal case in accordance with the article "Deliberate destruction of or damage to property."
