RUSSIA CONDOLES WITH IRAN ON TRAIN CRASH

MOSCOW, February 18, 2004. (RIA Novosti correspondent Dmitri Panovkin) - A train crashed to kill two hundred near Nishapur, Khurasan Province in Iran's northeast.

Alexander Losyukov, Russia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed heartfelt condolence to Golamreza Shafei, Iranian Ambassador to Russia, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs press and information department.

The conferees exchanged opinions on certain global and regional issues, which the Russo-Iranian political dialogue concerns.

Russia and Iran are determined to step up political, economic and humanitarian partnership, ministerial PR say in a statement.
