TEHRAN, FEBRUARY 18 (RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT NIKOLAI TEREKHOV) - Iranian Vice-President, head of the Iranian Atomic Power Organization Golam Reza Agazade declared that the Islamic Republic fulfills all the provisions of the additional protocol to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
"Iran voluntarily signed an additional protocol to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty," Agazade said in an exclusive interview with RIA Novosti.
He also reported that "at the present time the document signed by the Iranian government is going through the legislative cycle and will be submitted for consideration by the Mejlis of the Islamic Republic in appropriate time." "Then, the date of the additional protocol's ratification will be determined by the parliamentarians themselves," the Iranian vice-president added.
