PLESETSK COSMODROME, February 18, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will observe the launch of a missile from the Plesetsk cosmodrome (the north of the European part of Russia).

The President arrived in the cosmodrome on Tuesday and immediately after his arrival held a conference with the participation of Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov and Commander of the Space Forces Colonel General Anatoly Perminov. They discussed the state of affairs and perspectives of the development of the Russian Space Forces.

On Wednesday, Vladimir Putin will begin his working day with the inspection of the Molnia rocket carrier's launching complex.

Then the President will observe the launch of the Molnia-M rocket carrier.

After that, the President will observe the broadcast launch of the RS-18 missile from the Baikonur state testing cosmodrome in the south of Kazakhstan.
