MOSCOW, February 17 (RIA Novosti) - Co-chairman of the Homeland (Rodina) bloc, Sergei Glazyev told journalists that the Homeland faction would appeal to the Ministry of Justice to prevent any political structure from taking the name of "Rodina" without consent given by the election bloc and the Duma faction of the same name.
"We have prepared documents to be sent to the Ministry of Justice," Mr Glazyev stated.
On February 15, the Party of Russian Regions included in the Rodina bloc announced its decision to be renamed into the Rodina party.
Besides Sergei Glazyev, Sergei Baburin and Valentin Varennikov put their signatures on the said appeal, too.
At the same time, according to Mr Glazyev, a decision was taken at a session of the Rodina faction to call on a group of deputies "to prevent a split in the faction."
