SAMARA, February 17, 2004. (RIA Novosti). The examination of Victoria aqua-park and Moskovsky trade center built by Turkish companies have started in Samara (the Volga region).

A special commission under chief federal inspector for the Samara region Andrei Kogtev was formed to carry out this examination, the inspector's press service said on Tuesday.

Moskovsky trade center was built by the same company, which constructed Transvaal park in Moscow. Victoria aqua-park was built by other Turkish company.

The commission will accomplish the examination in a week.

The management of Victoria aqua-park rules out the possibility of the tragedy, which happened in Moscow. According to director general Viktor Surkov, the roof of the aqua-park is made of metallic constructions and its collapse is impossible. "All aqua-park's triplex windows are made like car windscreens. If this glass breaks, the special film will hinder splinters from hurting people," he stressed.

Victoria recreation center was open in Samara in 2002. Its total area is 35,000 square meters. The aqua-park covers 7,000 square meters.

Moskovsky trade center consists of two two-storied buildings with the area of 16,000 and 20,000 square meters. On weekdays it is visited by 8,000 people and on weekends and holidays by 15,000.

Other recreation and trade centers in Samara are not to be examined yet.
