GROZNY, February 17, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent) - Two militants were detained during a special operation in the Achkhoy-Martanovskii district of Chechnya, the Regional Operations Staff of Counter Terrorist Operations in the North Caucasus told RIA Novosti Tuesday.
"Yesterday, during a special operation by law enforcement agencies in the Achkhoy-Martanovskii district the Tazurkayev brothers, Yakub and Adam, were detained while resisting arrest in a bandit hideout. The older brother is 24 and the younger is 21," the source said.
According to him, the law enforcement agencies have information that the detained men participated in numerous acts of terror in the republic.
