    BELGRADE, February 17, 2004. (RIA Novosti correspondent Sergei Ryabikin) - A delegation of the Republika Srpska (the Republic of Bosnian Serbs), headed by its President Dragan Cavic, today arrives in Moscow at the invitation of Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov.

    The programme of the visit includes negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yevgeny Primakov, and with the Speakers of both Houses of the Russian Parliament.

    The Republic of Bosnian Serbs attaches great importance to the development of contacts with Russia, President Dragan Cavic told RIA Novosti before leaving for Moscow. According to him, special attention at the negotiations will be paid to the possibilities of developing cooperation in the economy, in particular, to attracting Russian investments into the republic's industry and infrastructure.

    The delegation plans to discuss concrete proposals in the sphere of the development of economic contacts and cultural exchanges with Mayor Yury Luzhkov and the members of the Moscow government.

    According to Dragan Cavic, the negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister will also concern the present situation in the Balkans and some aspects of the fulfillment of the Dayton Peace Agreement which put an end to the 1992-1995 civil war in Bosnia.

    Other members of the delegation of the Republic of Bosnian Serbs are: Prime Minister Dragan Mikerevic, Minister of Trade and Tourism Boris Gaspar and Minister of the Economy, Energy and Development Milan Bogicevic.
