MOSCOW, February 16 (RIA Novosti) - According to Nikolai Koshman, the head of Gosstroi (State Construction Committee), violations of construction standards and poor quality materials are the possible causes of the roof of a Moscow water park collapsing on Saturday.
The Gosstroi working group's preliminary conclusions on the causes of the tragedy that took the lives of 25 people will be received by the end of the week. Mr. Koshman said that by the end of the week he would be able to speak concretely about the quality of the construction materials, the condition of the ground and the construction documents.
He said that he would ask independent foreign experts on water parks to join investigation process if it was necessary.
"If we have any doubts, we will invite foreign experts who build water parks all over the world. For instance, there is such a company in Canada," Mr. Koshman added.
