"Many things could cause the collapse," said a representative of the Moscow architecture association.
According to him, the first version is the architectural mistake, which could be overlooked during the expert examination of the project.
He does not rule out that the weight of the snow caused the roof to collapse. "In our conditions constructions always have a margin of safety, considering heavy snowfalls," the representative said.
Other reason is technological, even accidental spoilage at the plant where the construction was founded, he noted.
In addition, the wrong assembling could cause the tragedy, as well.
The wrong maintenance could be one of the causes, but I should hardly think so, he said.
"According to the theory of catastrophes, it could be a fantastic concourse of unfavorable factors," the representative stressed.
In his words, the final conclusion will be made after a thorough expert examination, which should be carried out in different directions. "This is a great investigation implying the check of all constituents from the project to technical maintenance. It may take a lot of time," he added.
