BULGARIAN FOREIGN MINISTER TO PAY ROUTINE VISIT TO RUSSIA ON FEBRUARY 17-18

MOSCOW, February 13, 2004 (RIA Novosti). Bulgarian Foreign Minister and acting OSCE Chairman in Office Solomon Passy will pay a routine visit to Russia on February 17-18.

He is to hold talks with his Russian counterpart Igor Ivanov, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

The sides will discuss priority trends in OSCE activities during Bulgaria's chairmanship in this organisation. OSCE Secretary General Jan Kubis will participate in these talks as well.

The sides will also consider Russian-Bulgarian bilateral relations. The year 2004 marks the 125th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Bulgaria. The program of co-operation in cultural, education and scientific spheres for 2004-2006 is to be signed during the Bulgarian minister's visit.
