MOSCOW, February 12, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent)- The composition of Russian-Georgian committees for key bilateral relations issues will be determined soon, Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov told journalists on Thursday.

The minister recalled that the presidents of Georgia and Russia gave instructions to create committees after the conclusion of their talks.

"Soon we need to form committees for commercial and economic collaboration, the realization of the Sochi agreement on Abkhaziya, the negotiations of our withdrawal from military bases, and also for the creation of a large agreement," said the minister.

Mr. Ivanov noted that the presidents gave instructions to create committees to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of both countries, the economic group of both governments, and the ministries involved in security and combating terrorism.

"We calculate that the realization of important understandings that were achieved during the negotiations will make it possible to substantially improve not only the atmosphere, but also the actual content of our relations," said Mr. Ivanov.
