The articles describe the main battles, the weapons, the units and the formations of the Russian army and Napoleon's army.
The publication also gives information about major diplomatic actions and treaties of that period. It contains more than 1,000 biographies of military leaders and statesmen who distinguished themselves in battles and of historians, writers and artists, whose works reflected the 1812 war.
The encyclopaedia has about 1,000 illustrations, a glossary of military-historical terms as well as concise chronicle of the Great European War of 1812-1814 and the 1812 campaign.
