ALMA-ATA, February 12 (RIA Novosti special correspondent Olga Semyonova) - Secretary of the Russian Security Council Vladimir Rushailo will visit Alma-Ata during his official trip to Kazakhstan.

The Russian delegation will lay a wreathe at the Tomb of Victory and hold a meeting with veterans of the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.

This meeting, as well as the meeting held the other day in Astana, Kazakhstan's new capital, has been organized within the framework of the 2004 festivities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War against the nazis.

"The meetings, which we hold with war veterans and participants, are not some incidental episodes but a part of the state policy of both Russia and Kazakhstan," Vladimir Rushailo said in Astana during the ceremony of awarding medals and honorary badges to Kazakh veterans.
