"Any talks with Maskhadov are out of the question. Whom does he represent? We should never negotiate with terrorists," Aslakhanov told journalists.
Maskhadov was elected President of the Republic of Ichkeria, which does not exist, he stressed.
"At the referendum 90 percent of Chechens said they live not in Ichkeria but in Chechnya, Russia's constituent part. Therefore, Maskhadov has no right to claim anything on behalf of the Republic and its people," Aslakhanov stressed.
Speaking about the last week's tragedy in the Moscow subway, Aslakhanov said that "Chechen people suffer from terrorism most of all." "Terrorists have no religion, no nationality," he stressed calling to certain politicians not to associate terrorism with Chechnya.
