MOSCOW, February 11 (RIA Novosti) - State Duma speaker, leader of the United Russia party and faction Boris Gryzlov announced his intention to join this party on Wednesday.
"I applied for membership at a meeting of the faction's presidium. I hope to get the party card in 7-10 days," Boris Gryzlov told journalists.
According to Gryzlov, he could not join the party earlier because he was holding the post of the Russian Interior Minister. "Today nothing prevents me from joining the party," he said.
