MOSCOW, February 11, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - The Russian State Duma has not supported the bill which prohibits members of the government from taking part in the activity of political parties and public associations. At today's session of the Lower House of the Russian Parliament, only 85 deputies, with the necessary 226, supported this initiative.
