MOSCOW, February 11, 2004. (RIA Novosti). The search for presidential candidate Ivan Rybkin can be considered unofficially completed, said head of the information and public relations division of the Moscow Main Interior Department (GUVD) Kirill Mazurin.

"The case will be finally closed when Rybkin signs the necessary documents and identify by his signature that during the period of his absence he did not become the object of crime," he said.

Rybkin disappeared in the evening of February 5. Last Sunday his wife filed with the police the application on his disappearance. The Moscow Criminal Investigation Department, the prosecutor's office and the Federal Security Service were involved in search of the presidential candidate.

Ivan Rybkin surfaced on Tuesday in Kiev and in the evening of the same day flew back to Moscow.

Mazurin did not rule out that Rubkin signed the corresponding documents already on Tuesday evening when met with the law-enforcement agencies' officers in the Moscow airport.
