Rogozin opined that representatives of the Motherland bloc should rely on the people who sought victory for this association at the parliamentary elections.
When asked whether he supported the idea of forming a single political party on the basis of the Motherland bloc, Rogozin said, "We should first make sure that we can rely on each other." Rogozin recalled that other parties of the bloc - the Russian Regions Party and the United Socialist Party of Russia - were due to meet on the weekend.
At the same time, Rogozin noted that he would not back the idea of forming a single political party, Motherland, on the basis of Sergei Glazyev's eponymous public organisation.
Glazyev announced the formation of the party in late January. This decision was made in the absence of some other leaders of the Motherland bloc, in particular, Rogozin who attended the PACE session in Strasbourg at the time.
