MOSCOW, February 10 (RIA Novosti correspondent Viktoria Prikhodko) - Special Duma committees are considering amendments to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation aimed to toughen punishment for terrorist activities, said Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov.
He added that the amendments were insufficient, and "preventive measures" regarding terrorist activities were equally significant. "There is more work to do here," said the Duma speaker.
The chairman of the lower house also noted that deputies were already forwarding many new amendments, including in regard to Russian citizens' registration.
