DOMODEDOVO (Moscow Region), February 10 (RIA Novosti) - The government approved the proposals of the commission on administrative reform to abolish the power of federal bodies to halt the operation of economic entities, Deputy Prime Minister Boris Alyoshin said after his speech before the deputies of the 4th State Duma.
The deputy prime minister said by his calculations, "about 40 bodies have such powers."
To illustrate this, he cited the "non-procedural actions of the power agencies" when, for instance, policemen may seize documents and suspend economic activity.
The deputy prime minister deems these methods to be ineffective in terms of the state fulfilling its functions. "The only verdict is that intrusion into companies' activity must take place exclusively through court," Mr. Alyoshin concluded.
