IRAN SENDS CONDOLENCES TO VICTIMS OF THE TERRORIST ATTACK ON THE MOSCOW METRO

TEHRAN, February 9, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent Nikolai Terekhov) - President Mohammad Khatami of Iran expressed his condolences to the relatives of those killed in the terrorist attack on the Moscow metro on February 6. In a message to the Russian government on Monday, Mr. Khanami said, "The Iranian people express their deep condolences to the relatives of those be killed, and also to entire Russian government in connection with the terrorist attack."

The Iranian Foreign Minister had previously sharply condemned the terrorist action, after indicating " terrorism has nothing in common with the human or moral standards and it is not acceptable in any form."
