* The Russian Central Election Commission will consider Irina Khakamada's and Sergei Glazyev's registration as presidential candidates.

ST. PETERSBURG

* Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov will hold a press conference on St. Petersburg's role as Russia's scientific, cultural and educational capital in connection with the celebrations of the 280th anniversary of St. Petersburg State University.

The Mariinsky Theater will host the anniversary celebrations.

YAKHROMA (MOSCOW REGION)

* The 22nd traditional all-Russia ski race "Russia's Ski-track-2004" will start at Volen sports center. More than 15,000 skiers are expected to participate in the race. All in all, over 100,000 skiers will compete in Russia's six federal districts.

NEW YORK

* New York will host the 46th annual Grammy awards ceremony.
