MUNICH, February 7 (RIA Novosti correspondent Alexei Berezin) - The continuation of the Iraqi crisis does not meet the international interests, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov said at the 40th international security conference. Sergei Ivanov delivered a report on international security in the context of Russia-NATO relations.

"We should be looking for the Iraqi settlement together. Everyone understands that the continuation of the Iraq crisis does not meet the interests of international community," Ivanov said. "Therefore we are interested in the success of the USA and its allies in Iraq and are ready for close cooperation on the soonest settlement in that region," he stressed.
