MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 6, 2004. (RIA NOVOSTI) - The Moscow office of the United Russia party has entrusted its Duma deputies elected from Moscow to work out a bill introducing tougher registration rules for incoming visitors.

A press-release received by RIA Novosti this Friday says that this bill should meet the security interests of Muscovites and introduce tougher rules for registration of incoming visitors and deportation of illicit immigrants.

"The Muscovites have got tired of feeling insecure about their life and the life of their relatives. They deserve the right to be safe in their native city and want firm security guarantees. And the townspeople can and ought to be protected by law," says the press-release.

The analysis of the previous acts of terrorism has shown that such doings usually involve visitors from definite regions of Russia, who do not haste to legalize their presence in the capital, says the statement.
