MOSCOW JEWS CALL FOR CONSOLIDATED FIGHT AGAINST TERROR

MOSCOW, February 6, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - The Moscow Jewish religious community has expressed condolences to the families of those killed and injured in the subway explosion on Friday.

A statement signed by Russia's chief Rabbi, according to the Congress of Jewish Religious Organizations and Associations of Russia, Adolf Shayevich, runs in particular: "Russia's chief rabbi Adolf Shayevich and the Moscow Jewish religious community express their deep condolences to the families of the victims of the tragic incident in the Moscow underground.

The entire Jewish community is condoling and sharing the pain for the unfairly terminated human lives.

We are hopeful that all the civilized community is getting consolidated in the fight against terrorism claiming the lives of peaceful civilians.

Today all the synagogues of the country will conduct services in the memory of the innocent victims of terrorism and for the speedy recovery of those injured," runs the message of condolences.
