MOSCOW, February 6, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Rescuers have approached the exact place of the explosion in the Moscow metro, which occurred at 8:45 (Moscow time), the Moscow Emergencies and Calamity Relief Department disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent.
"The fire in the carriage was extinguished," the Agency's interlocutor said.
According to the information 30 people have been hospitalized and some 500 evacuated from the "Paveletskaya" and "Avtozavodskaya" Moscow metro stations.
