VLADIKAVKAZ, February 5 (RIA Novosti) - Two people were killed Thursday morning by a grenade explosion in Vladikavkaz, the capital of North Ossetia (autonomous republic in Russia's North Caucasus), the local Ministry of the Interior told RIA Novosti.

According to the source, the grenade went off in Kutuzova Street. Police are currently working on the site.

This is the second explosion in Vladikavkaz over the week. On Tuesday night, a car exploded near the premises of the commercial bank Gamid, killing one woman and injuring ten more passers-by. One of the victims died Wednesday morning without regaining consciousness.

The police are searching for three suspects presumably involved in Tuesday's attack.
