NORTH OSSETIAN POLICE REFUTES REPORTS ABOUT "SHAHID BELTS" IN A VLADIKAVKAZ HOUSE

VLADIKAVKAZ, February 5 (RIA Novosti) - The Interior Ministry of North Ossetia (a Russian republic in the North Caucasus) refuted Thursday the reports in the mass media that "shahid belts" were found in one of the houses in Vladikavkaz, an administrative center of the republic.

The head of the North Ossetian Interior Ministry's press service, Ismel Shaov, confirmed the refutation Thursday to RIA Novosti.

He said that on Wednesday the local law enforcers, who investigated Tuesday's explosion in the city, found two sub-machineguns, two grenades and an explosive device in one of the houses in Vladikavkaz.

On Tuesday, February 3, a car was blasted outside the Gamid commercial bank. One woman was killed and ten people injured. On Wednesday morning, one the injured died in the hospital.
