MOSCOW, February 4, 2004. /RIA Novosti/. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov will visit Germany on February 6-8 to participate in the 40th international conference on security and defense policy, said the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
The conference is to consider crisis settlement and common approaches to the solution of regional and global security problems.
The Russian Defense Minister will deliver a report "Issues of security policy in the light of Russia-NATO relations".
The program of Sergei Ivanov's visit to Munich includes several bilateral meetings, for instance, with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and German Defense Minister Peter Struck.
