MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 3 (RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT ALLA ISAYEVA) - The Russian cabinet thinks worthwhile the discussion around the use of insider information by participants in the Russian stock market, said a source in the Russian cabinet of ministers.

"The problem merits fine legislative execution," said the source, commenting on the request of the Association for the Protection of Investor Rights to the prime minister for checking the use of insider information now that the international agency Stardard&Poor's has increased Russia's rating.

The source recalled that last October the cabinet submitted to the State Duma a positive answer to the draft law On the Insider Information. The problem of using insider information cannot be seen settled in even more developed legislative systems, the source noted.

"Suspicions regarding the use of insider information are a great many in the economically advanced states but only a few such cases are taken to court," said the source in the Russian cabinet of ministers.

"In this connection, the discussion going on in Russia around the bill On Insider Information deems worthwhile," the source said.
