KIEV, February 3 (RIA Novosti correspondent Yevgeny Alexandrov) - Ukraine's Supreme Court canceled its decision on Tuesday that the parliament should elect the president of the country. At an emergency session, 304 deputies out of the necessary 226 supported the canceling of this norm included in the draft law on amending Ukraine's Constitution.
The draft law was adopted by the Supreme Rada in the first reading on December 24, 2003. However, opposition party factions came out against the bill and blocked the work of the parliament.
