The Greek minister is currently visiting Moscow.
"We appreciate our political dialogue with Greece," said Rushailo.
He emphasized that the two countries' relations had a firm legal framework for economic, cultural, scientific cooperation and the joint fight against terrorism and crime.
Rushailo also praised bilateral cooperation between ministries and departments. In particular, interaction between the Russian Interior Ministry and the Greek Ministry of Public Order is conducive to effective efforts aimed against transnational crime within the UN, the OSCE and the EU's framework, he said.
The Russian Security Council Secretary noted the stable growth in mutual trade and the broad prospects of cooperation in the energy sphere.
Floridis, in turn, emphasized that we were united by historical links and advancing cooperation. He expressed confidence of further consolidation of bilateral relations.
As for the upcoming Olympics due in Athens, the Greek minister remarked that security issues had to be addressed in this connection with the help of international interaction.
Russia is playing the priority role here, said the minister. He hailed his meetings with Russian law enforcers in Moscow and their support.
Besides security provision at the Olympics, the talks highlighted the joint fight against international terrorism, organized and economic crimes, drug trafficking and slave trade, stressed Floridis.
