MOSCOW, February 2, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - The co-chairman of the Rodina bloc and the vice-speaker of the State Duma, Dmitri Rogozin intends to have Sergei Glazyev explain his reasons for creating a new political party.
On Monday, high level members of the Rodina bloc will hold a meeting where Sergei Glazyev will explain, "that this was either PR or a specific step to create an alternative Rodina bloc," Mr. Rogozin told journalists on Monday.
Last Friday Mr. Glazyev and his associates declared the creation of the Popular Patriotic Union Rodina. This action was accepted without the participation of the leaders of bloc, in particular, Dmitri Rogozin, who was in Strasbourg at a PASE session.
