DERBENT (DAGHESTAN), JANUARY 29 (RIA Novosti correspondent Valery Yarmolenko) - International terrorism is inventing ever new forms, warned Nikolai Patrushev, Director of Russia's Federal Security Service, or FSB. He was addressing a conference of the State Frontier Commission on fortifying the state frontier in the North Caucasus.

"In particular, terrorists are using suicide bombers - we have seen ample instances here in Russia and abroad," said Mr. Patrushev.

Priority must belong to terror act prevention - a mission that requires smooth and efficient teamwork of all involved offices, he stressed.

"The Interior Ministry is coordinating the job in the North Caucasus now. It convenes regular sessions of operations HQs to discuss related matters. Terror acts were prevented on a number of occasions. Regrettably, we cannot guarantee prevention of all acts, for the time being."
