MOSCOW, January 29, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent) - The Russian government expects that talks on Russia's entrance into the World Trade Organization (WTO) will be completed in 2004, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Kudrin said Thursday at the opening of the international conference of European customs services.

"One of our priorities in 2004 is to complete talks on Russia's entrance into the WTO," Mr. Kudrin said.

"This is our task, but, we do not intend to enter in WTO on any conditions," the deputy prime minister said.

According to Mr. Kudrin, "2004 is the desired timeframe, but everything will depend on future negotiations." -()- (nic/sm)
