MOSCOW, January 28, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - By the end of this year, Russia residents will be able to remit money to anywhere in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) through the unified postal system, Igor Syrtsov, General Director of the federal unitary enterprise Pochta Rossii, said when presenting Kiberdengi (Cyber Money) project.

He said his company was working to integrate the unified postal system into the international money order systems, above all those of the CIS.

Mr. Syrtsov recalled that the communication authorities of Russia and Ukraine signed an agreement on electronic money transfer exchanges on October 7, 2003.

Moreover, the company is working to get Russia's money order system integrated into the relative systems of France, China and Japan. The Russian system's full integration into the systems of entire Western Europe and possibly of the US is a midterm prospect.
