MOSCOW, JANUARY 28, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- US Undersecretary of State John Bolton will arrive in Moscow on Wednesday, January 28th to discuss the issues of security, disarmament and non-proliferation of mass destruction weapons, reported the source at the Russian foreign ministry.

Moscow and Washington are going to discuss the implementation of the Strategic Offensive Reductions Treaty (SOR) signed in May 2002.

The Moscow consultations will be held with account taken of the talks between US Secretary of State Colin Powell and the Russian leaders, which ended yesterday, reported the Russian foreign ministry.

Bolton is also expected to discuss cooperation between Moscow and Washington in anti-missile defense. More than once Moscow declared its readiness to cooperate with the United States in non-strategic anti-missile defense.

The US emissary will also discuss in Moscow a number of regional problems, in particular the situation around Iran and North Korea. These issues were also considered at the negotiations with Colin Powell in Moscow.

Russia is also interested in the details connected with the forthcoming work of international inspectors in Lybia and a possibility of cooperation with the United States in preventing the leakage of dangerous technologies from Pakistan.
