"We will encourage Russian transport manufacturers to make modern vehicles and carriers to buy them," said the deputy minister.
"The market is in need of diverse transport vehicles, we will, therefore, render direct support to transport producers and consumers," said the deputy minister.
Mr Kolik said the industry should produce modern vehicles that would meet the current market demand. "The earlier the producers employ new technology and start manufacturing up-to-date products the more successful they will be. Companies that will fail to do that will have to quit," said Mr Kolik.
Russia intends to introduce increasingly higher technological standards in the transport sector, said the deputy minister. He added that there would be no delays /in introducing new standards/as they were very harmful, above all, to those who insisted on them.
