MOSCOW, January 26, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Russia and Georgia will discuss the issue of the Russian military bases after the Georgian government is formed, Russian Foreign Minster Igor Ivanov said.

"We agreed with the Georgian authorities that as soon as the formation of the Georgian government is completed the proper working groups, including those dealing with the issues of the Russian military bases, would start functioning in order to find the solutions suitable for the both parts," the Russian Foreign Minister disclosed to journalists on Monday in Moscow.

"However, it's very important that the issue will be settled in the context of the development of relations in all spheres - in political, trade and economic, and humanitarian," Igor Ivanov noted.
