MOSCOW, January 26 (RIA Novosti correspondent Yelena Fedorova) - Prominent Russian economist Alexander Livschits advises against transferring the Central Bank's accounts and reserves into euros, he said at a press conference in RIA Novosti on Monday.
"I advise against rushing and transferring the Central Bank's international accounts and reserves into euros," he said.
According to Livschits, his talks with well-known economists at the World Economic Forum in Davos showed that "at present currency rates are looking for a balance." If within the next six months the dollar's rate against the euro will continue to fall, then by the end of the year a balance will be achieved, and in 2005 the rate will fluctuate around the point of $1.2-1.4 per ?1, Livschits explained.
