MOSCOW, JANUARY 25 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov has arrived in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi to see President Elect Mikhail Saakashvili sworn in later today, reports the Foreign Ministry's press service. Dignitaries from more than twenty foreign countries are expected to attend today's inauguration ceremony. Following the inauguration, Ivanov and the new Georgian leader will have talks, with this latter's prospective visit to Russia high on the agenda.

Saakashvili has more than once indicated that Moscow will be his first travel destination in the presidential capacity, saying he is eager to mend the strained relationship between his country and Russia.
