KIEV, JANUARY 23, RIA NOVOSTI - There are no problems in Russian-Ukrainian gas partnership, as President Vladimir Putin sees the matter. "All issues have been settled," he reassured our correspondent at a news conference in Kiev.
As for a transnational consortium, now in blueprints for Ukrainian gas-piping network management, the President had this to say: "Things are not so bad as we are setting it up, but we ought to make quicker progress than we are. When we refer to the consortium, we mean to strengthen our positions in Europe-and the job satisfies us, the way we are doing it."
