MINSK, January 23,2004. (RIA Novosti correspondent Olesya Luchaninova) - The Byelorussian government is cutting the number of the non-tariff restrictions in its trade with Russia. As RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the Byelorussian Foreign Ministry on Friday, these measures are being taken in view of the increasing trade with Russia.
Restrictions for the imports of flour, groats, bread, rolls and buns into Byelorussia from Russia have been fully annulled.
As the Byelorussian Foreign Ministry reported, these measures have been taken within the framework of the implementation of the agreement between the governments of the two countries on completing the unification and creating a single system of tariff and non-tariff regulation in the Union State.
"It is supposed that these steps will help implementing the plan of joint actions by the governments and banks of the two countries for creating a Common Economic Space and introducing the currency of the Union State," the press service of the Byelorussian President says.
