MOSCOW, January 22 (RIA Novosti) - The negotiation of the Russian military bases withdrawal timeframe will continue after legitimate government institutes are formed in Georgia and their heads are appointed, Russian Foreign Ministry official spokesman Alexander Yakovenko told RIA Thursday.

He reminded those present that two of the four Russian military bases in Georgia have already been closed in accordance with the Russian Georgian agreements reached at the 1999 OSCE summit in Istanbul. The terms of functioning of the two remaining ones - in Akhalkalaki (south Georgia, close to the Turkish and Armenian borders) and Batumi (the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Adzharia) - will be defined at the bilateral talks on military issues which are to be resumed after Tbilisi has a new government.
