MOSCOW, January 21 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref comes out for drafting a trade code. He expressed this opinion at a press conference on Wednesday after his meeting with heads of the leading trade chains and retail trade enterprises.
Gref noted that the current legislation was drafted in the mid-1990s. "The past decade has prompted the need to review it [the legislation]," the minister believes.
Gref said that the ministry would try to lobby the formation of a commission for trade issues and commercial law in the State Duma (parliament's lower house).
