    SOUTH KOREAN PRESIDENT TO VISIT RUSSIA IN MAY-JUNE 2004

    MOSCOW, January 21, 2004. /RIA Novosti/. South Korean President No Mu-hyon is scheduled to visit Russia in May-June 2004, Russian ambassador to South Korea Teimuraz Ramishvili said on Wednesday.

    Speaking about the condition and prospects for the development of Russian-South Korean relations, the ambassador noted that active cooperation between the Russian and South Korean Presidents "helped to settle the issue of Russia's debt to South Korea".

    According to Teimuraz Ramishvili, "it was a turning event in bilateral trade and economic relations which resulted in growing interest of South Korean business and financial circles in cooperation with Russia".
